Naomi
Naomi directs a recreation center that had an old, outdated camera system which was no longer functioning. After a vandalism incident went completely undetected by this old system, they decided it was time to modernize.
Working as part of a larger team, I installed many of the indoor and outdoor surveillance cameras at this facility, as well as the router, switch and network video recorder, a fleet of new wifi access points, and a point-to-multipoint radio system connecting remote outbuildings to the main facility.
Jonathan
When Jonathan's software startup grew and relocated to a larger office, they brought their existing Logitech conference room systems with them, but needed several new systems installed to support the additional meeting spaces in their new digs.
I removed incompatible systems left behind by the previous tenant, and replaced several old big screen conference displays that had become damaged from years of burn-in with new ones. I installed and wired the soundbars, cameras, microphones, touch displays, and electronic whiteboards in each conference room. I discretely routed all system wiring and made sure laptop data and power accessories were within reach on the conference tables, then configured and tested each system to make sure they were ready to support the team on day one.
Jennifer
Jennifer's salon had three outdated computers at the counter for POS and customer scheduling, and a fourth in her modest office at the back of the store for running her business. She relied on salon management software that was finicky to configure. She had been putting off hardware upgrades, concerned that it would lead to down time and lost revenue.
I methodically migrated data and then replaced each computer, coordinating with salon counter staff to make sure there was always at least one terminal up and running. I worked directly with the technical support team from her salon management software vendor to successfully get her new hardware reconnected to the cash drawer and receipt printer. Once the counter systems were all settled, I backed up her business computer then migrated the data and replaced it as well.
