I never charge for travel to destinations within the orange "Free Travel" zone in the center the Service Area Map.
For destinations outside the "Free Travel" zone, the first 30 minutes of travel is still free. After that, I charge a travel fee of $60/hour, billed in 15 minute increments.

For destinations outside the "Free Travel" zone, schedule permitting, I will always suggest alternative appointment times that may reduce travel time and minimize the travel fee. For example, shifting your appointment to a time that would avoid rush hour traffic. 🙌
I never charge for cancellations more than 4 hours in advance. I completely understand that life can be chaotic, and will always do my best to be flexible and resilient.
Details:
I charge a $60 cancellation fee if an appointment is canceled less than 4 hours in advance of the scheduled start time.
A cancellation fee, if any, is due at the scheduled start time of your canceled session. I will send you an invoice.
If I have already started driving to your appointment when you cancel, the cancellation fee will include $60/hour for my actual drive time, billed in 15-minute increments.
If you pay a cancellation fee, but reschedule your appointment, I will credit you back 100% of the fee when we complete your rescheduled session. 🙌
It is rare, but when servicing a computer or device with data stored on it, there is always a risk of data loss. I strongly recommend that customers maintain active daily backups. I always bring a new, spare backup drive with me, in case you want me to create a backup. I do charge for the backup drive, and I do charge for the time it takes to back up your data. If you do not have a backup, and you choose not to have me back up your data, (or, if your computer or device is already in a condition that makes it impossible to back it up prior to repair work), and data loss occurs as a result of my repair work, it is my policy to facilitate professional data recovery, if you choose it. Under no circumstances will I be responsible for the cost of data recovery, or accept any direct or indirect liability for the consequences of lost data or loss of use of your product or other equipment arising out of the services provided.
Products on your bill will always be priced to match what you would pay for the same products if you purchased them yourself online on the day the product is installed. Occasional fluctuations in product pricing may result in a charge that doesn't match your expectations. If this happens, please let me know and I will gladly adjust the price to match, or issue a refund for the difference if you have already been charged.

I strive to set realistic expectations from the outset, and to communicate in real time if new information emerges that might change what we've agreed to. I follow up with each customer at the end of every project to check in and confirm you are satisfied. I promise to keep an open mind and receive any critical feedback with grace and gratitude. If something doesn't sit well with you, please give me an opportunity to make it right. If the final result is not acceptable, for the portion of the work in question I will refund any payments made by you to date, and/or cancel any outstanding invoices due, up to, but not to exceed, 100% of your bill.

I work with local organizations to securely and responsibly e-waste or up-cycle any equipment I remove from your worksite. This includes computers, devices, networking equipment and cabling. I recycle all packaging - even typically difficult to recycle components like plastic bags and foam inserts. I remove all plastic debris from the worksite and recycle it, to reduce the risk of contaminating the natural world with microplastics. I travel using an electric vehicle that is powered by renewable solar energy.
